Who We Are

OGEO Limited is a measurement & visualization company. We have full in-house execution capabilities for a wide variety of spatial measurement, analysis and visualizing, air survey and GIS projects. Our office is located in Santa Barbara, California. We also have a Canadian parent company, ORTHOSHOP Geomatics Ltd., located in Calgary, Alberta.

Our company history

Orthoshop Est. 1980

The parent company, ORTHOSHOP Geomatics, was established in 1980 under the name The ORTHOSHOP. In the early years, the company specialized in photogrammetry, creation of planimetric and topographic data from stereo imagery, and the production of orthophotography. Since 2003 ORTHOSHOP Geomatics has owned and operated their own fleet of aircraft and airborne sensors.

In 2006 the company name was changed to ORTHOSHOP Geomatics Ltd. to reflect the company’s broadening scope of geomatics services, including: large scale project design and consultation, LiDAR processing and analysis, satellite image processing, and GIS services.

In 2009 ORTHOSHOP Geomatics expanded to include aircraft maintenance capabilities in house. This increased the level of quality control and reliability of aircraft maintenance, and also allows for scheduling of maintenance that works best for our client’s requirements.

In 2011 ORTHOSHOP Geomatics became a professional engineering company registered with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta). The same year, the company added digital aerial photography cameras and LiDAR sensors to the complement of remote sensing equipment.

In 2014 the Santa Barbara office was opened, OGEO Limited. OGEO provides a wide range of geomatics services, specializing in high accuracy, high detail measurement and visualizing this data in 3D.
